Lewis in Mark St. Germain's two-character play FREUD'S LAST SESSION. (A civilized, sophisticated intellectual with good manners, Plunkett’s Lewis is a fellow you’d like to have a pint with, not a moralizing prig. --The Obsever Group, As Lewis, Jeffrey Plunkett is equally passionate, but more reserved and demure, with a calm, poetic way of expressing his thoughts. --Herald Tribune, Jeffrey Plunkett delivers Lewis with sparkling warmth and joy. --Total Theatre) He spent the winter of 2013 playing Joseph Alsop in 90 performances of the regional premier of David Auburn's THE COLUMNIST (Jeffrey Plunkett has room for what ultimately becomes a freight train of a performance that erupts at its crescendo, before finding a sweet spot in the broken shell of a man who finally remains – the contrast of which is nearly immeasurable. --The Bradenton Times, Jeffrey Plunkett portrays a wonderful blend of arrogance and intellectual authority. --Aislesay.com, Mr. Plunkett, who continues a string of memorable performances, conveys the upper crust, waspish manner of Alsop. When the character is threatened or challenged, we see the inner steel that propelled him to the heights of power. He is riveting in the final scene. --Talkinbroadway.com, Jeffrey Plunkett brilliantly portrays the complex Alsop by capturing both his pomp and his genuine humanity. --This Week in Sarasota, Jeffrey Plunkett encompassed the caustic, arrogant, vitriolic writer who confidently controlled words, family, and the powerful Washington social scene. He never doubts what he believes; the audience never doubts Plunkett’s tone and body language. It is strong and convincing. --don411.com, Jeffrey Plunkett is sublime as Alsop. --The Observer). Prior to that he played Tony in Michael McKeever's SOUTH BEACH BABYLON. In December 2012, Mr. Plunkett completed a run in the off-off Broadway premier of Mac Rogers' HAVE MERCY. He played Jack Lawson in the regional premier of David Mamet's RACE, voted Best Play by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Mr. Plunkett played three roles in Gurney's SYLVIA at Florida Studio Theatre. (Jeffrey Plunkett matches for sheer enthusiasm and ballsy performances as three vastly different characters. Plunkett makes them distinct and funny. --Herald Tribune. Other theaters might well be jealous of the terrific cast that Florida Studio Theatre has assembled for this lark. Plunkett is amusing and hilarious. --Creative Loafing. SYLVIA has some of Gurney’s deft comedy timing to recommend it, along with hilarious bits by Jeffrey Plunkett in three separate roles. --Sarasota Magazine. The Harvey Korman-esque Jeffrey Plunkett plays a trio characters along a spectrum of genre. Hilariously as well.--Critic on the Run. ) He performed at NYC's Algonquin Theatre in their production of SLAVE SHACK. In 2010, he completed eighty performances as Elliot in the play OPUS at Florida Studio Theatre. (Mr. Plunkett, in a cast where everyone seems ideal for their roles, is completely believable and remains sympathetic throughout.--Sarasota Magazine. Plunkett, in a tip-top cast, soon establishes himself as first among equals, a mercurial, thin-skinned violinist who's easily offended and never far from tears. --Creative Loafing. Jeffrey Plunkett is mesmerizing in his intensity. --Aislesay.com) Mr. Plunkett has appeared regularly at manhattantheatresource, in ALL THE RAGE (Best ensemble cast this side of Osage County.--NYTheatre.com), BLACK COMEDY/WHITE LIARS, WOYZECK, ST.
