In Zarathustra Said Some Things, No? Adrienne and Ricky, a young Canadian couple living in Paris, have entered into a suicide plot. Today is their chosen time to die. True, this is the fourth consecutive day designated as their last alive, yet all the elements are now in place, as Adrienne's conditions to leap from their high balcony at sunset have been met. Under the burden of their decision, they relive their lives through storytelling, elaborate mind-games of their own invention, mock group therapy sessions, personal attacks, shared secrets, and intimate, sexual, cruel and even humorous moments. As critical truths surface, so does a tenacious life-force, a willingness to live despite themselves; yet each revealed truth evokes a correspondingly provocative tale. Grievances, sexual and drug addictions, recurring mistakes, the acknowledgement of their psychic rifts and the damage done, spins them out of control. They alternate between light and shadow and edge closer to the precipice as the sun sets, when they will choose to live or die.

Lina Roessler as Adrienne

Since graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, Lina Roessler has worked out of Montreal, where she has enjoyed performing in film, television and theatre.

New York stage credits include: Hurly Burly (St. Marks Theatre); Avenu-u Boys (Irish Arts Centre); Hamlet (LaTerraza Theatre); and the New York Premiere of Sitting Pretty (Hypothetical Theatre). Montreal stage credits include: Trevor Ferguson's Barnacle Wood and Beach House, Burnt Sienna, both produced by Infinitheatre; as well as Christopher Fry's A Phoenix Too Frequent (Gravy Bath).

Film credits include: MOMENT IN TIME (Coppola Films); ASCENSION (Zuno Films); THE LAST CASINO (Cite Amerique); MARY SHELLEY (Cine Qua Non); and THE WATER (Japanese Tea Prod.). Her latest leading role was in BERLIN (Nu Films), which was an official selection at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival. Television credits include recurring roles in MTV's UNDRESSED� and NAKED JOSH (Showtime).

Brett Watson as Ricky

Since graduating from Toronto's prestigious Ryerson Theatre School ten years ago, Brett Watson has appeared in dozens of plays across Canada, has toured North America, and has a successful film and television career with over 50 credits to his name.

Stage credits include Trevor Ferguson's first two plays Long, Long, Short, Long and Beach House, Burnt Sienna. Mr. Watson has also appeared in Cheech and Twelfth Night (Centaur Theatre), The Birthday Party (Tryptich Theatre), The Importance of Being Earnest, Home and Beauty, and Loot (Theatre Lac Brome), Dead Ducks and Food/Bouffee (Infinitheatre), and Macbeath and A Midsummer Night's Dream (North American Tour).

Brett is also one of Canada's busiest film and television actors. He has had major roles in such films as ABANDON (directed by Academy Award winner Stephen Gagan), TAKING LIVES, SHATTERED GLASS, LEVITY, DEEPWATER, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, THE TRACKER, TAKEN, STEAL, and the recently completed MIND OVER MURDER. Television credits include leading roles in 15 / LOVE, MY MESSY BEDROOM, CHIEFS, THE PATTY DUKE SHOW REUNION, THE SECRET ADVENTURES OF JULES VERNE, and MTV's UNDRESSED among many others.
