PEN KNIFE

Pen Knife tells the story of the infamous relationship of the young French poet Arthur Rimbaud and his mentor Paul Verlaine. Their obsessive affair and hedonistic lifestyle scandalized Paris and London and inspired Rimbaud's iconic poetry. Consumed by their passion for their work and each other, this new play offers an intimate and unflinching look at the personal toll of unbridled artistry.

CABORCA is a gang looking through irony to find sincerity, through humor to find sadness, through despair to find hope and vice versa. It is a theatre company without genre, without gender, color blind, accent blind, and body-fat blind. Caborca is bilingual, for now. We’ve come together to explore opposing perspectives on our common space, drawing from the political and social landscape of an altering age. We strive to create art that’s uniquely New York, uniquely now, uniquely ours and of our audience, without compromising on its behalf.

Caborca steals its name from the magazine of the same name. In the novel The Savage Detectives, by Roberto Bolaño, the magazine Caborca is the official organ of the stridentist poets.
