From the writer known for his journalistic curiosity and a gift for comedic dialogue comes CHATTING WITH THE TEA PARTY – a play about the people behind the politics. Rich Orloff, a New York liberal playwright travels across the country, interviewing the Tea Party leaders in search of the answer to the question: “Who are these people?” Armed with a notebook full of facts, an open mind and an irreverent wit, he finds more than he bargained for.
Nothing the Tea Party people in the play say has been made up. CHATTING WITH THE TEA PARTY was a finalist for the Woodward/Newman New Play Award and the NuVoices New Play Prize.
