Mariah MacCarthy

Mariah MacCarthy is a San Diego-born writer, director, and Jill of all trades. Credits include A Man of His Word (Playwright, Old Globe Theater with Playwrights Project), Jewels That Catch Your Eye (Creator/Performer, LMCC), Cate Blanchett Wants to Be My Friend on Facebook (Director, Rapscallion Theatre Collective), After the Tower (Playwright/ Director, Inbred Hybrid Collective), The Woods (Director, Channel Z), What the Hell (Director, Evil Eye Productions), The All-American Genderf*ck Cabaret and The Mourning After (Creator/Director, Skidmore College), and Incognito (Director, Skidmore College).
    She has worked behind the scenes on shows with NYMF, Andhow! Theater Company, Adirondack Theatre Festival, and HERE Arts Center, has assisted such directors as Gia Forakis, Lauren Reinhard-Tiongson, and Heidi Handelsman, and has worked for the Pearl Theater Company, La Jolla Playhouse, and New Dramatists. Mariah is a magna cum laude graduate of Skidmore College and works for Ma-Yi Theater Company
